FASC Council of Merit Award
CHS Student Council was recognized by the Florida Association of Student Councils for its student leadership program. To be named a FASC Council of Merit recipient, a high school must meet requirements in the areas of Organization, Meetings, and Operations.
National Council of Excellence
For its exemplary record of leadership, service and activities that improve the school and community, the Colonial High School Student Council has been recognized as a 2023 National Council of Excellence by the National Student Council.
CHS Student Council has organized projects such as senior sunrise and sunset, blood drives, voter registration drives, club rush, school beautification, making kits and sandwiches for the homeless, spirit weeks, and homecoming festivities. Students worked diligently to make sure they continued a culture of school spirit and participation in the school, along with being role models for the student body as a whole.
