October 15, 2019: Hispanic Heritage Foundation Youth Awards

-Various scholarships depending on field of study

-Honor Latino high school seniors who excel in the classroom and community and for their focus in various categories: Business & Entrepreneurship, Community Service, Education, Healthcare & Science, Media & Entertainment, Science, Technology, and Engineering, & Mathematics.

-GPA of 3.0 unweighted

-plan to enroll full-time in a Bachelor's degree program.

-Be a permanent resident, DACA, US Citizen or eligible non-citizen.


October 17, 2019: Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway

Amount: $2500 - $100,000

-Create a video regarding goals.

-Finalists will "throw" for scholarship at game


October 17, 2019: Jump Start Scholarship

Amount: $1000

-U.S. Citizen or resident

-write a 250 word essay

-plan to attend a postsecondary institute


October 18, 2019: Omega Psi International Essay Contest

Amount: $1,000-$5,000

-write an essay on prejudice in the U.S.

October 25, 2019: Horatio Alger Scholarships

-Up to $25,000


-Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor's degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution

Financial Need

-Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities

-Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity

-2.0 GPA

-U.S. Citizen


October 29, 2019: Heisman Scholarship

Amount: $5,000

-student athlete

-community service-minded


October 30, 2019: Home Theorys Scholarship

Amount: $2,000

-must plan pursue a degree in interior design


October 31, 2019: Coca Cola Scholars Foundation


-Current senior

-Minimum 3.0 GPA.

-U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Asylee, Refugee.

-Planning to attend a post-secondary institution.

-Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities.


October 31, 2019: Stokes Educational Scholarship

Amount: tuition and fees up to $30,000/year, plus annual salary

-must be U.S. citizen

-minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA

-minimum 1200 SAT or 25 ACT

-must major in computer science or computer/electrical engineering



October 31, 2019: Zombie Apocalypse

Amount: $2,000

-write an essay on a plan to avoid zombies during an apocalypse


October 31, 2019: KidGuard Scholarship

Amount: $300-$1,000

-create a social awareness campaign about online safety


November 1, 2019: Electric Mobile Device IT Innovation Scholarship

Amount: $1,000

-must write an essay on solutions to expanding usage of mobile devices


November 1, 2019: Brooks Law Group

Amount: $250-$1,000

-write an essay on texting and driving


November 1, 2019: Ron Brown Scholarship

Amount: $40,000

-must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident

-must excel academically

-must be black/African American

-must demonstrate financial need

November 5, 2019: Elks Most Valuable Student

Amount: $1,000-$12,500

-must be a U.S. citizen

-must have taken SAT or ACT by October 5th, 2019


November 10, 2019: School House Scholarship

Amount: $2,000

-must have experienced homelessness in the last six years


November 30, 2019: In the Driver’s Seat Scholarship

Amount: $3,000

-write an essay on the importance of safe driving


November 30, 2019: Dr. Juan Andrade Young Hispanic Scholars

Amount: $500-$1,000

-must be accepted to a 2 or 4-year institution

-demonstrate financial need

-at least one parent must be of Hispanic ancestry
