I hope this finds you returning from a most enjoyable and relaxing spring break. It seems like only yesterday I arrived as your new principal, but that was last summer, and here we are already set to begin the final 9 weeks of 2022-2023.
Please note our bell schedule change on main campus and 9th Grade Center for PMA/Star Testing. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Friday, March 24 will be a regular school day and our final day of testing will now be Monday March 27:

As you may already know, Colonial High School has enjoyed many successes over the past several years on both the academic front and in multiple extracurricular areas. We plan on building upon that momentum this school year and beyond. Of course, I realize a major key to additional future success is community involvement, which is a key part to our 2022-2023 plans. I encourage all parents and interested partners to attend our SAC and PTSA meetings, dates of which can be found here on this website.
Every year, OCPS does a review of the Code of Student Conduct. The district seeks input from our community, staff and students. One of the six community meetings will be held here at Colonial High School in our Media Center. Wednesday, February 22 from 5:30-6:30 pm, everyone is encouraged to attend. The final meeting will be held at Ronald Blocker Educational Leadership Center on March 1 in conference room A. A survey will also be sent to families this week. if you are unable to attend one of the community meetings.
Supervision for students begins daily at 6:30 am. Remember school starts at 7:10 am at the ninth grade center and 7:20 am on the main campus.
Parents and students, please review our policy for delivery and drop-off of food items (found under the parent tab). Colonial High School does not allow students to receive any food deliveries during the school day in order to maintain campus security and limit interruptions. Thank you for complying and understanding.
A phone call went out Monday January 3rd explaining our expectations for dress code. Students will NOT be allowed to wear head gear, with religious exemptions, and shirts must go from arm pit to arm pit and cover the belly. Thank you for helping us with these school rules.
Sincerely,
Betzabeth
