Colonial High School Families,
As we begin the final week of the first nine weeks, I want to thank our students, families, teachers, and staff for your continued partnership and support. Together, we have accomplished a great deal, and I am proud of the hard work, resilience, and commitment our Grenadiers have demonstrated throughout the quarter.
This week is especially important as students in grades 9-12 will participate in the PSAT/SAT School Day assessments. Students at the Main Campus will test on Tuesday, while students at the Ninth Grade Center will test Thursday.
These assessments provide valuable opportunities for students to demonstrate their academic growth, prepare for future college and career pathways, and, for many students, qualify for scholarship opportunities. We encourage all students to arrive on time, get a good night's rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and approach testing with confidence and determination.
In addition to testing, we are excited to celebrate both Homecoming Week and College Week. We look forward to seeing our students and staff participate in Spirit Week activities and show their Grenadier pride. Throughout the week, we will also host College Application Blitz events to support our seniors as they take important steps toward their postsecondary goals. These opportunities reflect our commitment to helping every student prepare for success beyond high school.
As we close out the first grading period, I encourage families to continue monitoring student progress, supporting strong attendance, and celebrating their students' accomplishments. Finishing the quarter strong helps build momentum for a successful year ahead.
Thank you for your support of Colonial High School. We are grateful for the partnership between our school, families, and community.
It's Great to Be a Grenadier!

Happy World Teachers’ Day!
On October 5, 2026, we proudly celebrate the incredible teachers who inspire, encourage, and empower our students every single day. Their dedication reaches far beyond the classroom, shaping futures, building confidence, sparking curiosity, and helping every child discover their potential.
To our teachers: Thank you for your passion, patience, creativity, and unwavering commitment to student success. You are mentors, role models, champions, and difference-makers whose impact lasts a lifetime.
To our students, families, and community members: Join us in recognizing and celebrating the educators who make our school a place of learning, growth, and belonging. A kind note, a word of gratitude, or a simple "thank you" can mean the world to those who give so much of themselves for our children.
Together, let’s celebrate the heart of our school, our teachers!
Happy World Teachers’ Day to all the amazing educators who inspire excellence, nurture dreams, and change lives every day. We appreciate you, we celebrate you, and we thank you!

ELEVATE Orlando was invited to participate in an amazing event called Color Wars! Students connected and built community with other teams while sharing moments of transparency and openness. We ended the night with an exciting Color Wars competition filled with paint, powder, and plenty of fun. Our students had an incredible time building connections and making memories! It was truly a great night filled with connection, community, laughter, and unforgettable memories. We’re grateful for opportunities like this that allow our students to step outside their comfort zones, build relationships, and simply enjoy being students together. |
We invite parents, students, staff, and community members to become part of our School Advisory Council (SAC) and help shape the future of our school. SAC provides an opportunity to collaborate, share ideas, and support initiatives that enhance student success and strengthen our school community.
Next SAC Meeting: October 14, 2026.
We are currently seeking dedicated members to serve on the SAC Committee. Whether you are a parent, community partner, student, or staff member, your perspective and input are valued. Students can vote for one of the students who has expressed interest in becoming a SAC member. Use the QR code in the flyer to cast your vote before October 8!
The attached photo highlights the warm and welcoming environment from our September SAC meeting, where meaningful conversations and collaboration helped build stronger connections across our school community.
We hope you'll consider joining us and becoming an active part of the important work happening at Colonial High School. Together, we can make a positive difference for all students!
